Supposing you are a foreign driver and living in Ireland and you have not exchanged your licence can you do the Driver CPC course?
The answer is yes you can.
Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is a European Wide Initiative and is available to drivers all across the EU.
There are however a few conditions:
- You must be a resident of Ireland
- You must have an Irish PPS number
- Your Driver CPC Training Provider must complete the application form with you on the day of your driver CPC and take all your details of your foreign licence (without going into too much detail, the application process is slightly different)
Driver CPC is a legal requirement and annual training must be completed by drivers of categories C1, EC1, C and EC vehicles (trucks) and D1, ED1, D and ED vehicles (buses).
